July 27, 1921 - April 5, 2012

KEIZER - Our beloved father, husband and grandfather A.W. Kincaid left us on April 5, 2012 to celebrate Easter personally with Jesus after courageously battling a long illness.

Atticus was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on July 27, 1921 and graduated from Ardmore High School. He finished two years at the University of Oklahoma in Norman before volunteering for the Army Air Corps. During WWII he served two years as an instructor pilot, and met Air Corps flight nurse Mildred Maynard. They married on September 18, 1944 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

A.W. had a natural gift for sales, and worked for many years as a pharmaceutical rep for Rexall Drugs in Oklahoma, Texas and Oregon. Late in his career, A.W. became a real estate broker after Rexall Drugs ceased operations in Oregon.

Daughter Ann and son Joe were born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and daughter Kathy joined the family in Waco, Texas.

During retirement, A.W. and Mildred enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. to visit family members, and traveled to England, Scotland and Wales as a retirement gift to each other.

A.W. is survived by his wife Mildred, daughter Kathy Kincaid, son Joe Kincaid (Nadine), grandchildren Kyle and Kaisa Kincaid, daughter Ann Harguess (Leonard), and granddaughter Melissa Harguess.

Viewing will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 10 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. A funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 11 at Capital Baptist Church, 3000 Lansing Ave. NE, Salem.
